Dear friend,
my name is JP Korpi-Vartiainen and I’m a professional photographer from Kuopio, Finland. I have an experience of over 40 years in photography, that is also proven with the title of platinum level Grand Master in the Nordic countries (06/2024). I do photograph weddings, portraits, newborns, graduates and of course photos for industrial marketing and communications etc.
Above all I’m a photographer of human people, but also industrial environments are familiar to me because of my technological university background. I avoid pretense and strive to capture people as naturally, emotionally and authentically as possible – as themselves. I often also want to merge the beauty of the model and the surrounding nature, or why not even the ruggedness, so that the model’s own personality and environment are connected. I also love storytelling in my photos, which is also needed in graduation photos. That is why I encourage the model to bring to the photo shoot, in addition to the “mandatory” rose or bouquet of flowers, an object closely related to you, etc.
I have directed hundreds of models during my long career. I always promise to put all the photography experience I have gained through my experience at your disposal. During the photo shoot, my main goal is to make you feel as relaxed as possible.
